Since New Years day of 2012, The Virtual Cavern has been a small, humble website solely focused on promoting young and independent writers, artists, and content creators of all sorts. With every New Year that has gone on since, TVC would take on the tag, of that given year, up until the end of the year.
Today, I will be sharing with you the next major batch of changes which are headed to The Virtual Cavern, featuring our all new yearly format, and why we will be going about this method as opposed to the method we’ve been following for the past four years since our official launch.
Announcing the 2016-2017 Season
Today, I am excited to announce The Virtual Caverns first ever, dedicated season! – The 2016-2017 Season! In the past, our seasons (general website activity) would run an entire year long, with no breaks! While content would occasionally be a bit slow and inconsistent, we’ve found being in full operation, throughout the entire duration of the year, resulted in less of an opportunity to develop other aspects of the Project Movement, as well as leaded to an exhaust in content.
So what does this mean? Well for starters, this means we will not be doing the same type of content all year around, and we will essentially “go on break” for a short period of time. We won’t be gone for good! But some of the upcoming content (which we will be touching on shortly), will be absent from the website during off-season, while other forms of content will continue on during off-season. This ultimately opens an opportunity for more behind-the-scenes development to be done, and also gives us more time and space to prepare for futuire seasons going forward.
The Coming Content
In our last official Blog update, which was way to long ago; we announced some of the upcoming content plans we had for the website, which were originally intended to kick off during the Spring. And while a few new sort of content pieces have been teased on the site every now and then, during the duration upcoming season you will see this content presented on a full-time basis!
Since we went over the details regarding quite a bit of our upcoming content plans, in our previous blogs, we won’t go into detail here. However, we’d like to remind you all of some sort the stuff that will be headed to the site this upcoming season. Mind you, what is listed below is not all the content that is currently planned for this season! We’re still working on ironing out the details and plans for a few other things, so stay tuned for more details in the near future!
- The Poetry Podcast – Season 2
- Photographers Spotlight
- “KickStart Me! ~ Weekly”
- Artists Spotlight (Musicians and Artists)
- Give it a Listen! ~ Weekly (Top 5-10 Indie Tracks)
- Musician of the Week (Featured indie band or artist)
The 2016-2017 Season will be TVC’s biggest undertaking yet! With goals of expanding the, broadening the brand across the net, and even beginning offline operations; we have quite a bit on our plate, so say the least!
You won’t have to wait all that long to fully get a taste of all the new content that’s coming, as the 2016-2017 Season officially kicks off on September 1st, 2016, and will run until March 31st 2017!
We cannot wait for things to get started! If you are interested in being apart of the 2016-2017 Season either on the development side, content creation side, or even the talent promotion side, feel free to contact us at TheVirtualCavern@yahoo.com
